As wildfires swept through Colorado last month, Premier Roofing Company took action to help victims. The company set up donations banks across the front range and employed social media messages through Facebook, Twitter and Google + to get people involved. With office locations in Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs, Premier encouraged members of the respective communities to swing by and drop off goods to aide the relief effort. Premier employees organized non-pershiable food items for Southern Colorado’s food bank, Care and Share. They also coordinated gently-used clothing for Goodwill, as well as monetary donations for the Red Cross.

Recent estimates show that over 600 homes were destroyed in the blaze. The Waldo Canyon Fire, just west of Colorado Springs, and the High Park Fire in Larimer County account for much of the devastation. Though insurance claims continue to come in, over $450 million in damage has already been reported.

Though the flames have been squelched, the lasting effects from the Colorado wildfires continue to leave hundreds of families in need. Without a roof over their head, it’s the support from charitable donations and efforts from local companies like Premier that give victims hope to move forward.

If you are able to help, Premier Roofing Company is still accepting donations.
